The Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) is a statutory body under the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Government of India. Established to promote sustainable rural employment, traditional craftsmanship, and self-reliance, KVIC plays a pivotal role in empowering artisans, weavers, and small-scale industries across the country.
Guided by the vision of Mahatma Gandhi, KVIC is dedicated to fostering handmade, eco-friendly, and ethically produced goods while driving rural economic growth. From hand-spun Khadi fabrics to diverse village industries, our initiatives support millions of livelihoods, preserve India's rich heritage, and contribute to the nation's economic development.

Chairman's Message
It is a matter of privilege for me to take over as the Chairman of Khadi Village Industries Commission at a time when the nation is celebrating the Amrit Festival of Independence on the call of Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji. Khadi and Village Industries have played an important role not only in the freedom movement but in the seventy-five years since independence.
